Dear Participants, Colleagues, and Guests,
It gives me great pleasure, on behalf of the H3D Foundation, to invite you to the 6th H3D Symposium, which will be held from October 13 to 16, 2026, at the Arabella Hotel, Golf & Spa in the Western Cape, South Africa.
Our theme this year, “Chemistry and Biology to Address Infectious Diseases,” could not be more timely. Over the course of four days, we will examine new ideas in drug discovery, chemical biology, medicinal and synthetic chemistry, infectious disease biology, and the tools and technologies that are shaping the future of this field.
We are fortunate to have a line-up of exceptional speakers from across the world, joined by talented young scientists who are helping drive new thinking. Their insights will guide lively discussions, spark new collaborations, and I hope, encourage us all to take bold steps in tackling drug-resistant infectious pathogens. Alongside the scientific programme, there will be workshops, poster sessions, and networking events designed to connect people and create lasting partnerships.
The Arabella Hotel provides an ideal setting for the symposium — a venue that brings everything together in one place, with excellent facilities and a setting that will encourage both focus and reflection.
I encourage you to join us, participate fully in the discussions, and use this opportunity to connect with both old and new colleagues. I look forward to welcoming you in October 2026, and to what promises to be an inspiring and memorable gathering.
Warm Regards,
KELLY CHIBALE
SYMPOSIUM CHAIR
