Dear Foot and Ankle Colleagues,
It is with great excitement that we invite you to the 11th Biennial Congress of the South African Foot Surgeons’ Association (SAFSA), to be hosted in Windhoek, Namibia, on 20–22 May 2027. This will be the first time the Congress is held outside the borders of South Africa.
We are honoured to welcome Dr. Mark Myerson (USA), Dr. Alastair Younger (Vancouver, Canada), Dr. Shuyuan Li (USA), Dr. Callum Clarke (UK) and Dr. Chris Coetzee (USA) as our international faculty. Together with local and regional speakers, they will make for a programme of high-quality teaching, lively discussion and the exchange of ideas among surgeons, trainees and other members of the foot and ankle fraternity.
Beyond the scientific programme, Windhoek offers a warm welcome, the space to build lasting friendships and collaborations, and the opportunity to experience Namibia's remarkable landscapes. We hope this congress will help to strengthen foot and ankle surgery in Southern Africa and indeed globally.
